Recent Projects (2021-2025)

2025–2026 Projects

For the 2025–2026 academic year, KEY International funded scholarships for 2,625 low-income children across 15 girls’ schools in Chennai and Madurai, India. Each student received an average scholarship of about $53, with a total of approximately $139,000 (INR 10,162,500) in support, helping them stay in school from 6th through 12th grade based on continued good academic performance.

Since its founding, KEY International has provided about 18,020 scholarship-years, with roughly 80% supporting girls.

2024–2025 Projects

For the 2024–2025 academic year, KEY International funded scholarships for 2,800 low-income children from 16 schools in Chennai, India. Each child received an average scholarship of about $53, for a total of approximately $148,000 (INR 12,500,000), helping them cover a substantial portion of their annual tuition and remain in school from 6th through 12th grade based on continued good academic performance.

Over 23 years, KEY International has provided about 15,505 scholarship-years for low-income children, with around 80% of support going to girls.

2023–2024 Projects

For the 2023–2024 academic year, KEY International funded scholarships for 2,450 low-income children from 14 schools in Chennai, India. Each child received an average scholarship of about $50, for a total of approximately $120,000 (INR 10,000,000), helping cover a substantial portion of their annual tuition and supporting them from 6th through 12th grade based on continued good academic performance.

By 2023–2024, KEY International had provided about 12,705 scholarship-years for low-income children over 22 years, with around 80% of support going to girls.

2022–2023 Projects

For the 2022–2023 academic year, KEY International funded scholarships for 2,450 low-income children from 14 schools in Chennai, India. Each child received an average scholarship of about $50, for a total of approximately $120,000 (INR 10,000,000), covering a substantial portion of their annual tuition and supporting them from 6th through 12th grade based on continued good academic performance.

By 2022–2023, KEY International had provided about 10,255 scholarship-years for low-income children over 20 years, with around 80% of support going to girls.

2021–2022 Projects

For the 2021–2022 academic year, KEY International supported scholarships for approximately 2,200 low-income children from 12 schools in Chennai, India. With an average scholarship of $50, the total funding of roughly $110,000 (INR 8,250,000) allowed students to continue their secondary education from 6th to 12th grade.

By the end of the 2021–2022 year, KEY International had completed 19 years of operations, providing a total of about 7,805 scholarship-years with a continued focus on supporting girls' education.

2020 Projects – Full Details

For the 2020-2021 academic year, KEY International supported scholarships for approximately 2,000 low-income children from 10 schools in Chennai and Madurai. Total project funding of $100,000 (INR 7,500,000) was successfully distributed, ensuring that vulnerable students remained enrolled in the scholarship program through their secondary education years, despite global challenges.

The decade from 2011 to 2020 was a foundational period for Key International. During these years, we established our scholarship framework, supporting thousands of low-income students in Chennai and Madurai. By focusing on consistent secondary education for disadvantaged children, particularly girls, we built the long-term school-to-work pipelines that continue to define our mission today.

Projects from 2002-2010

During our inaugural decade, from 2002 to 2010, KEY International established its foundational scholarship programs in India. This period was critical for defining our mission of educational equity and building the collaborative networks between schools and local communities that remain the cornerstone of our global development initiatives today.
